In case that you have decided to choose a Cheshire Wedding Venue, I totally recommend Arley Hall & Gardens. Before booking your wedding , here are a few historic facts for you.
This magnificent place has it’s roots dating back to 1469, and for this reason was reconstructed between 1832 and 1845 by Rowland Egerton-Warburton, designed by architect George Latham. The estate boasts splendid features and by all means, have a look at these pictures.
Constructed in Hollington stone, it overlooks the famed Gardens and Park. This is open monthly, so first of all I would recommend to check the availability.
Booking Arley Hall for your wedding day will make you feel enchanted by its timeless charm, surrounded by the rich history and picturesque landscapes that will set the stage for unforgettable moments.
Added in 1862 to minimize draughts, it leads to the West Hall with panelling from the old house.

As you can see, the library is the perfect place for portraits. No wonder that they have chosen this room for the TV Show Peaky Blinders. That’s right! This is the exact room where they have filmed Thomas Shelby having a cigar on this exact desk.
I must say that I was totally amazed by the room! During the golden hour/sunset, the light was penetrating through the huge window and bouncing back of the golden cover of each book. What a stunning view!
Designed by Latham in 1842, it showcases intricate doorways, panelling, and ceilings executed by J Hughes.
This hall is special because the wooden panelling gives a very familiar air and makes you feel as your entering into your own home. This is the perfect place to receive your wedding gifts.
A nineteenth-century sitting room with a longcase clock, ceilings, and panelling designed by Latham in 1842-43.

Dedicated to Rowland and his wife, it houses portraits, French-style furniture (1854), and a memorial to Rowland’s mother.
Experience the captivating beauty of this room during the ceremony, where intricate details adorn every corner, crafting a mesmerizing atmosphere that etches a lasting impression. Carefully curated elements abound, infusing each moment with charm and elegance. As you exchange vows amidst the warmth of your loved ones, the surroundings contribute an extra layer of magic to your special day. Considered Latham’s masterpiece, this oak staircase showcases elaborate strapwork and panelled plasterwork.
Immersing yourself in such a historic place will evoke a unique feeling, especially for the bride. The Grand Staircase will give a rush of emotions, creating the perfect atmosphere for the magical ceremony that lies ahead. It serves as a wonderful prelude to the marriage ceremony.
Originally the principal bedroom, it displays watercolors by Elizabeth Ashbrook.
Named after Napoleon III, who stayed here in 1847-48, this room holds historical significance.
